ABOUT THE RED THREAD FELLOWSHIP AWARDS

ABOUT THE RED THREAD SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The Red Thread Scholarship is available to college-bound women of international backgrounds who will be entering an American college or university in the coming Fall. If selected, scholars are awarded $1000 to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and living expenses. Other awards may be disbursed as funds are available.

Mentorship support is available upon request. Scholars may choose to be paired with a Board member for guidance in clarifying and focusing on professional and personal goals. Scholars have the opportunity to benefit from Board members’ experiences, unique skill-sets, and global networks in order to help them achieve their objectives.

There is a requirement for scholars to create one social media post per semester, to be featured on the Red Thread Foundation for Women website and other social media outlets. We aim to provide scholars with the opportunity to inspire and share tips and experiences with young college-bound women.

RED THREAD NETWORK

While the Red Thread Scholarship is awarded for one year only, scholar involvement with the program doesn’t have to end there. We encourage scholars to join our network of accomplished young women, whether by maintaining connections with current Board members and other program participants, or by choosing to take on a more formal leadership role.  We look forward to growing the Red Thread Network to expand our impact and provide the best possible support to our program participants.
