ABOUT THE RED THREAD FELLOWSHIP AWARDS
The Red Thread Fellowship is available to college-bound women of international backgrounds who will be entering an American college or university in the coming fall.
The fellowship consists of two parts: a $1000 scholarship award and year-long mentorship support. Other awards may be disbursed as funds are available.
The award will be provided to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and living expenses; however, we believe that the scholarship award can achieve truly positive results only if it is coupled with the recipient’s clarity and focus on her professional and personal goals. In support of this, the Associates will serve as mentors to the award recipients, guiding them to prepare a five-year personal strategic plan that includes values, strengths, and career goals, as well as the key developmental and career milestones to be accomplished. The mentorship component also gives Scholars an opportunity to benefit from Associates’ experiences, unique skill-sets and global networks in order to help them achieve their objectives.

RED THREAD NETWORK
While the Red Thread Fellowship is awarded for one year only, our recipients’ involvement with the program doesn’t have to end there. We encourage Scholars to join our network of accomplished young women, whether by maintaining connections with current trustees and other program participants, or by choosing to take on a more formal, leadership role. We look forward to growing the Red Thread Network to expand our impact and provide the best possible support to our program participants.
